Anglican Missions & Overseas Mission – Tikanga Pakeha
Rev. David van Oeveren serves as the Chair of the OM-TP as Representative for Waiapu
Passionate about mission work both locally and abroad, David is committed to living out the mission of Christ and sharing Christs love locally and overseas.
For over a century, Anglican Missions has supported the Church in fulfilling its call to serve the world. The work continues today, offering Christian witness through telling, teaching, and showing God's love in action—tending, transforming, and treasuring lives in need.
David says, “Mission isn’t just an add-on to our faith; it’s a core response to the transformation we’ve experienced in Christ.” He emphasizes that every Christian has a role to play in the Realm of God, whether by sending, going, living, giving, staying, or praying.
The work of Anglican Missions relies on the prayer and financial support of people like you. “What I’ve experienced through Christ’s love, mercy, and justice, I want others to experience too,” David says. “We are called to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. So, how will you respond?”
David and the Anglican Missions (OM-TP) team are dedicated to equipping and partnering with local faith communities, offering resources, ideas, and practical skills to help churches engage with mission both at home and overseas.
For more details on how to get involved, visit the Anglican Missions website and stay connected through their e-newsletter and social media platforms. Together, we can continue to build the Realm of God—one prayer, one act of love, and one mission at a time.
