Announcement from Bishop Andrew

Appointment Strategic Lead for the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu

I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Graeme Brock into the Strategic Lead role for the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. The role will be is effective as from Monday 4 November 2024.

Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW) has generously allowed Graeme (the Waiapu Engagement Lead for ACW) to be seconded to ADOW, for a three-year period, to undertake the Strategic Lead for the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Graeme will continue to oversee the current parish projects, building capability, and ensuring the Senior Chef Programme's success for the interim, all that currently come under ACW’s umbrella.

Over the last eighteen months, Graeme Brock, has been a member of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu's Strategic Working Group (SWG), which has developed a five-year strategy for the Diocese.

As the strategic work has developed, it has become increasingly apparent to all in the SWG that more time will be needed and that a strategic lead is required to help implement the plan.

The Strategic Lead role will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of the Diocese’s five-year strategic plan, working closely with the Bishop and alongside the Diocesan Registrar. This role will provide leadership, coordination, and alignment across various sectors within the Diocese, ensuring that strategic objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently. We look forward to Graeme settling into this new role and I invite you all to join me in congratulating him on this appointment and supporting this next phase in the development of our vision and strategic mission work together as a Diocese.
