About the Role

With a focus on acknowledging, enhancing, sustaining and restoring Te Oranga Ake o Te ao, o Te Iwi/ the flourishing of life for all people, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan, developing, embedding and evaluating new and enhanced services, and empowering the SLT to lead and deliver services across the Diocese.

We’re searching for a Hawke’s Bay based leader who will:

  • Inspire the team

  • Work alongside the Board to determine direction

  • Work skilfully through complexity

  • Respect the value of Christian theology and Anglican faith as the foundation for the mahi

  • Work with the governance groups to develop shared relationships

  • Be a highly skilled communicator

  • Work comfortably within Te Ao Māori and in relationship with Te Pihopatanga o Aotearoa

  • Be purposeful and deliberate

  • Lead with courage, fortitude and manage within an environment that has ambiguity

  • Be deeply committed to tamariki and whānau wellbeing.

About the Company

Anglican Care Waiapu works throughout the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu (Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, and Tairāwhiti). They deliver services and programmes in early childhood education, social work and counselling, grief, loss, and change, and provide support to older people. They also invest in areas that seek social, environmental and financial returns.
