This morning we have woken to the news of the death of Kīngi Tūheitia who died following heart surgery earlier this week.
We join many others throughout the motu to convey our condolences to Kīngitanga and offer prayerful support for all who mourn Kīngi Tūheitia's death. We will also support our whanau within Te Pīhopatanga as they mourn and acknowledge the roles into which they will be called to minister within Te Ao Māori at this important time.
May Kīngi Tūheitia rest in peace and rise in glory.
